The fruit for this Gamay comes from a place many grab their fruit from: Wismer, but this time it’s their Armbrust Vineyard. It goes through a partial whole cluster pressing (~10%), which helps give the final wine some depth, and spends 10 months in neutral French oak. A slight earthy note kicks things off before wild cherry swings in (aroma-wise) … palate really delivers the goods: cran-cherry, white pepper and a pretty floral finish; chill this one up to enhance that lovely red fruit.
