This ten year old winery is sourcing fruit from 30-35 year old vines, the Montepulciano is aged for 9 and a half months in a mix of French and American oak, which helps to explain the richness that can be found in this bottle: aromas of sweet red fruit, vanilla, cherry and plum – it comes across very Zin-like; the palate is rich in plum, black cherry, cocoa and balancing acidity; the finish even presents a nice touch of floral in the form of violets.
