A wine made from the rarely seen Tinta de Toro grape variety aged 18 months in new French barrels – a rich and smoky wine that delivers chocolate and black fruit from the start, then in comes vanilla and black cherry, still hammering the up-front fruit; finish doles out cedary, mocha-coffee and some real elegance.  Rating: ****+
