This 100% Verdejo comes across like a Chardonnay with plenty of oak characteristics and a great fruit core: pineapple, grapefruit, bruised apple and smoke carry it to a lemon zest, medium length finish – there’s also a rich note of vanilla and butteriness on the mid-palate.  Rating: *** ½+
