Billed as a Super Tuscan combing Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah – the coat of arms just below the throat conveys this as being all estate fruit. First sniff and taste picks up an array of interesting spices along with a peppery note, then it is followed with red berries (namely strawberry) and notes of balsamic, gentle oak, leather and licorice.  Rating: ****
