This Merlot is soft and fruity, like we expect from West Coast Merlot, but this one is a little further north than the Cali versions we are used to so along with the soft blue and black fruit core comes white pepper, mocha and good acidity on the finish ... but ultimately the suppleness wins out.  Rating: ****
