The Edgerock Vineyard is getting some love from winemakers outside Niagara (also see Adamo) … here Rosehall winemaker, Dan Sullivan, picks up some Petit Verdot and shows it the ultimate respect squeezing notes of cassis, blackberry and black pepper out of it for starters – there’s also a vanilla-oak note that also weaves in some subtle stony-minerality, but what really shines is that juicy dark fruit and peppery core that lasts right through to the finish.  Price: $34.95 - Rating: ****+
