Champoux (pronounced: shampoo) was planted in 1972 in what is now the Horse Heaven Hills AVA ... The wine spends 28 months in 55% new French Oak and becomes a symphony of flavour and aromas. Once released and put into your glass it’s full-on mineral, herbal, sour cherry, blueberry skin, mocha / cocoa plus elements of meatiness, black pepper and Christmas spice on the finish - but mainly this wine is memorable for its juicy core.  Rating: ****+
