The 2016 of this wine completely blew me away by the depth and complexity of this Chardonnay – this year I’m ready and willing for this wine to do the same, but expectation can sometimes be a detriment. It’s still a beguiling Chardonnay with lots of complex notes: vanilla, butter, caramel, smoke, even a touch of praline and caramel apple on the finish hints of spice also manage to slip in to that long finish where some lime notes also reside among the acid punch.  Price: $44.95 – Rating: ****+
