Last time out I recommended a delightfully simple Chianti for under $20, now we are getting into the Riserva and the Classico range from a very good year in Tuscany where the fruit ripened and the flavours shone bright. This is a pretty bottle of Chianti that should age well for the next 10-plus years, though it is also approachable now: black cherry, wood smoke, floral and coffee notes now, but looking forward to even more emerging in the future, so pick up a few to see where this one is going to go.
