Spends 32 to 36 months in large oak barrels, this younger vintage shows its oak / cedar notes early, but the plum and black cherry enter the fray and gives the wine a richer fuller mouthfeel than the 2013 - surprising considering the vintage is considered to be very poor. There's a nice smoky-peppery-oaky finish that should layer in fruit with time - not for long term aging, but definitely a pleasing palate and one to be held a few more years.
