This is one complicated wine so bear with me – it’s a blend of Pinot Noir (25% new oak), Cabernet Franc (25% new oak) and 18% appassimento Cabernet Franc aged 100% in new oak – and all for two years. The results are a layered and complex wine full of plummy and earthy notes, some black cherry, some smoke and even some bittersweet chocolate balanced by serious acidity that really aids to keep it fresh and then finishes with dried black fruit.
