Winemaker Dan Sullivan has shown some adeptness with Chardonnay and it’s the same deft hand that proves Pinot Noir is also his “jam” – this version really is a mouth filling, fruit forward delight: cran-cherry and white pepper greet the nose, the palate layers in mocha, vanilla, cedar and spice … but the big winner here is lovers of fruit as that, and a subtle minerality, shine through and remain right there through the long finish.
