(Tasted 2019) ... Make some room over the holidays for a bottle or two of this gorgeous Brut sparkling wine from Italy … 100% Chardonnay all hand-harvested and spending a minimum of 24 months on lees in the traditional sparkling method (aka: Champagne method) … this is not a Prosecco. Fresh and clean with lots of green and mac apple fruit, some citrus notes and a subtle smokiness achieved from that time on lees – concentrate hard enough and a floral nuance shows up as well – but there is no need to go all wine geek here - just enjoy this bubble for what it delivers – a smile on your face and a want for another glass … and here’s another thought you might want to consider: for most of us this is the Ferrari we are more likely to afford – so I’m getting six.  Rating: ****+
