This 100% Syrah from the “In the Rocks” Vineyard is full of stony-minerality and meaty notes plus white pepper and smoky character. The fruit is dark but backed by bacon and herbal nuances, finishing with raspberry, strawberry and good acidity. There's a purity of terroir here wrapped in fruit.  Rating: ****+
