Fruit is taken from the Connor Lee Vineyard and is 85% Cabernet Franc with 15% Merlot backing it up to add an extra dimension, or as would be more fitting at this winery, character. Floral, tobacco, cassis, black cherry, black raspberry with an herbal backing and great acidity to preserve it all - hard to believe with so much fruit it has 80 - 90% new oak involved. Best Cab Franc I have tasted from Washington to date. Rating: ****+
