The head of the original Burgundian winemakers union rolls over in his grave when he hears the following: “a mix of Hungarian, French and American” (yes American) oak barrels for 8-10 months … reserve because of the ripeness level achieved and the quality (through taste): slightly smoky with vanilla and sweet fruit notes of plum and spiced cherry … maybe it shouldn’t work because of the American oak, but then again it seems to work out quite well.
