Another gorgeous version of Carmenere (92%) with just a dollop of Petit Verdot (8%) aged in 80% new French oak that shows how elegant and lovely this grape can truly be: lots of spice and dark fruit with a peppery kick on the finish – needs time to be even more elegant – but it’s on the right track.  Rating: ****+
