Luigi Bosca 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon

One of the best Bosca’s to come into the LCBO in some time. It’s aged in both American and French oak for 14 months, is then bottled with light filtration, so with age it will throw sediment and the grapes themselves are an average age of 40 years and grown between 800 and 100 meters above sea level … all that said there is great texture and concentration in this bottle; from the cinnamon and cedar notes derived from the oak to the amazing dark fruit that is the hallmark of this wine: cassis, black cherry, blackberry along with a smokiness that keeps dipping in and out … this one is not only age-able it's delicious right b now.  Price: $18.95 – Rating: ****+
