There’s just a dash of Viognier (1.5%) added to this Syrah to punch up the floral aspect, but it helps shore up other bits of character within the wine like the plethora of dark fruit (both blue and black), there’s also pepper, plum and some meaty characteristics that give this wine a chewy element to deal with in the mouth – add in some cedar and vanilla to this delicacy and you’ve got yourself one of CedarCreeks’s best and most complex Syrah’s to date.  Price: $49.99 - Rating: ****+
