This wine is five dollars off till the end of the year (2022) at the LCBOI – let me state from the outset, this wine is a jaw-dropper: rich cassis, blackberry and cherry create a perfect marriage with cocoa notes plus black cherry and white smoke on the finish which proves to be long and satisfying with lingering spice notes. It’s purity of fruit is what really shines from this admitted “challenging, but good vintage” (winemaker) – cellaring potential for the next 15 years.  Rating: **** ½+
