When I first tasted this Macon many moons, and a different vintage, ago I was thrilled by its balance of aromas and flavours - and the fruit core was amazing. Now years later it still delivers. Once opened there's a richness, but it dissipates revealing peach and apple with a mere hint of vanilla and even some tangerine notes. Plenty of fruit at its core - making it my kind of Chardonnay: balanced and fruit driven. (****)
