St Remy Extra Old Reserve Privee Brandy (France)

(July 4, 2015) ... I am not much of a Brandy drinker, but it turns out my father-in-law is (much to the shock of both his daughter and wife it seemed) he has come to visit at least once a year (from Michigan) for the past 3 years, and each time has made a dent in this bottle. Finally in the 3rd year he finished the bottle and proclaimed as he took his last sip "that was VERY good". I'll have to believe him for the simple fact that each time he visited he would ask if I still had any of that French Brandy left ... Question is, now that the bottle is dry, will he still be coming over the border every year to see us? I guess the answer will come next year. But I guess it's fitting that an American finished a French Brandy on Independence Day ... I think my father-in-law took it as another gift from the French.
