Valdarno di Sopra
In the Valdarno di Sopra the following wine types can be made: White, White Spumante, Rose, Rose Spumante, Red. Among grape varieties, the following can be specified: Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Sangiovese, Syrah. A kind of passito wine can also be made from white grapes.

a little lean on fruit but with some nice floral and delicate characteristics make it easy to drink (*** ½)
Tenuta Sette Ponti 2018 Valdarno di Sopra DOC - Vigna dell'Impero
(sangiovese) ... floral, red fruit, soft on tannins and easy drinking (*** ½+)

similar to their above wine ... just with more intensity (*** ½+)

(red blend) ... deep, dark and delicious - lots of dark fruit mixed with smoke, tannins and nice texture (****)

Il Borro 2018 Toscana Rosso IGT - Il Borro
(red blend) ... big and smoky, but with a lovely mix of chocolate and dark fruit, layered and lovely (**** ½)
