Over the years nobody has impressed me more with rosé than Mr. Frederic Picard of Huff. The first time I tried his pink wine I was sure it was a red and white blend that contained Sauvignon Blanc; but he assured me it was all red grapes. This year's version is 100% Cabernet Franc and is alive and well for summer refreshment. Aromas of cherry, raspberry and lime are followed on the palate by lemony-grapefruit and really good acidity. How he does it I'm not sure, but Frederic is proving to be quite the master of the pink stuff. Price: $17.95 - Rating: *** 1/2+
