(June 16, 2020) ... I just looked back at the review for this wine, dated March of 2016, and even back then I acknowledged I am not a Chardonnay fan but this wine was something special ... and not some 4 year later and 7 years from vintage date we still have a special wine on our hands. It starts off being buttery yet with great acidity and then it just piles it on from there: vanilla and baked peach with a creamy palate that goes right through to the finish where the acidity kicks back in and freshens up all that rich fruit and cream. It ends with a medium-long finish and the more it remains open the more a sweet praline seems to filter through onto the mid-palate. This one remains pretty close to five stars. Rating: Drink up - or if you want hold a few more years, but not much more, this one is at its peak.
